With the critically acclaimed film Straight Outta Compton bringing the world’s attention back to N.W.A. and Eazy-E, many fans are forced to reckon once again with the latter’s shocking death from AIDS in 1995.
For years conspiracy theories about his death have swirled, fueled largely by his involvement into a violent and turbulent era and the short time that elapsed between his diagnosis and death.
One person whose name has often been linked in conspiratorial discussion of E’s death is Suge Knight. These rumors were only fueled by an off-putting comment that Knight made when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live shortly after emerging from jail in 2003.

Interviewing Knight, Kimmel wore a bulletproof vest. While discussing it, Knight presented a bizarre theory about how one might be killed with infected blood:
“Technology is so high. If you shoot somebody, you go to jail forever. You don’t want to go to jail forever…They have a new thing out. They have this stuff they called…they get blood from somebody with AIDS and they shoot you with it. That’s [a] slow death. The Eazy-E thing, you know what I mean?”
Knight is currently in jail preparing to face murder charges for a hit-and-run in Compton a few months ago.
